What this site is

A directory of state-licensed soil and septic site evaluators, the people legally allowed to perform perc tests and septic site evaluations, covering 2,800+ licensed evaluators across 14 states, organized by state and county, alongside plain-English guides to how the permit process actually works in each state.

Where the data comes from

Every listing is built from the state's own licensing registry, the official public record of who holds the license. We cite the licensing board on every state page and link to the state's license-verification tool so you can check for yourself. Evaluators can claim their listing to add business details, or request removal.

How the money works

Browsing the directory is free, and requesting quotes is free for homeowners. In our Virginia pilot area, evaluators pay us a fixed fee when we put a phone-verified appointment on their calendar; the terms are public on the for evaluators page. Directory placement is never paid: no evaluator can pay to appear, rank higher, or look more credentialed than the state registry says they are.

Who runs it

FindPercTest is independently owned and operated by Seasoned Tech, a small U.S. business, not a marketplace conglomerate and not a lead-reselling network. Reach us at hello@findperctest.com.
